Update: I tried going in via the back door (Control Panel > User Accounts > Mail (Microsoft Outlook 32 bit). I can't continually be logging in to Comcast webmail just to read that account. I have to work on this laptop and now I can't get any mail from Comcast. Have run the Deep Online Repair on the Office Suite (available from Uninstall Programs) - repeatedly.Īnother 2 hour attempt to get help from Comcast and the tech insisted that the Outlook 365 app has something wrong with it even though it accepts Outlook and Gmail accounts and they send/rcv just fine. Thus I am indeed following the instruction to create a new profile. Comcast insists it is not their problem but that I should create a new profile. Have been on phone for (now) over 3.5 hours with Comcast and 2.5 with Microsoft. I checked the settings against another laptop that has Outlook 365 app running. ![]() I even tried the alternative port numbers per that article.Įvery time, end up with the message can't connect to Comcast servers. ![]() ![]() I used the Comcast settings from their instruction page: I have successfully entered both Outlook and Gmail email accounts into a new profile in Outlook 365 desktop app. I have a MS Office 365 Home subscription, so that's where I'm getting my Outlook program.
